Davao Bloggers Party 2008

good times 6 Comments

Lazygoy and I attended the Davao Bloggers Party 2008 last Saturday, June 14 @ Toto’s Bar (Casa Leticia). I didn’t really know what to expect when I signed up for the event. All I know was that it was going to be a small gathering of Davao-based bloggers…and that the FOOD & DRINKS were FREE! (hehe)

Welcome Bloggers!

So we came, we ate and we left…nah! That’s not what really happened. We actually sat until the prepared program for the night was through..and if I may add, I had a nice time at the party. Ok that’s too conservative a word to describe it ~ enlightening seemed like a more fitting adjective. ~_~

friendship on the rocks

life's many questions 1 Comment

~ Which do you think is worse? A “big fight” or a “gradual falling out”? ~

Genuine friendship is without a doubt one of the best things a person can get out of life. Making connections, strengthening bonds or simply sharing precious moments with friends are priceless. I have ONCE AGAIN managed to start up another blog and leave it untouched for a very long time. =( As much as I want to update my posts on a regular basis, I just can’t seem to think of anything to write about. @ pista lokal

good times 3 Comments

last night, my friends and i decided to go out and celebrate our “success” with the local board exam. i wasn’t actually in a festive mood since i still had a long “To-do” list and i was hooked on “Weeds” (the TV show) at the time ~ thanks to tvokay. ^_^ in the end, i chose to be with friends than stay cooped up inside the house on a saturday night.

we met up around 9pm and got a table at pista lokal, along torres street. the entire compound was packed with people (of all ages) ~ young peanut vendors included. we had a few bottles of beer, laughed a lot, and did some catching up. by the way, the food was great ~ especially the spicy chicken ~ thanks to carlo! ^_^

A Tribute to the Squirtles

remembering LB days 1 Comment

when i was still in L.B. (los banos), my brods used to fondly call us (my friends and i) the “squirtles”. i’m not exactly sure how the name came to be — only george and yamo knew the real story behind it.

perhaps it had something to do with the fact that we used to hang out at an internet cafe, just across our dorm, and starcraft gaming was in boom at the time. all i know is that they initially dubbed us as the “zerglings” then it somehow evolved to the “squirtles”.
